Driver in Endymion crash pleads guilty to 11 felony counts

Neilson Rizzuto, the man who plowed a truck into a crowd of Endymion parade spectators in February, pleaded guilty to the remaining charges against him on Friday.

Rizzuto, 25, had previously pleaded guilty to a raft of misdemeanor counts of in connection with the crash last month. The Paradis man pleaded guilty to 11 more serious felony charges, which carry a maximum 5-year sentence, on Friday.

Criminal District Court Judge Ben Willard set Rizzuto's sentencing for Jan. 12.

The crash, which happened in Mid-City on Feb. 26, left at least 32 people with injuries, some of them serious.
