Mississippi 53 cleared after two-vehicle accident

HARRISON COUNTY -- A two-vehicle accident in Saucier had all lanes of traffic blocked on Mississippi 53, just north of Herman Ladner Road, for about 2 hours on Friday, officials said.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Spokesman Chase Elkins said the accident happened at 4:40 p.m.

One of the vehicles rolled over in the crash, he said.

The accident was cleared at about 6:20 p.m.

The occupants involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, and Elkins said officials are working to clear the roadway.
