BILOXI -- The family of 15-year-old Justin Looney has filed a missing-person report in hopes police and the public can help find him.
The Biloxi High student left home nearly two weeks ago and his family hasn't heard from him.
His grandmother, Carolyn Mixon, said she woke up about 5 a.m. May 2 and found a note in their computer chair.
Mixon said the note said, "Don't call the police. I'm okay. Don't look for me. I love y'all."
Mixon said Justin has lived with her most of his life, and she has custody of him.
She said she had seen him the night before, when she woke up about 11 p.m. and found him at the computer. She said she told him to go to bed.
Mixon's son Wesley Mixon also lives with them at Biloxi Shore Apartments on Eisenhower Drive.
Carolyn Mixon had seen Justin in the parking lot after she reported him missing, but he ran into a wooded area, police Sgt. O'Neal Adams said.
"We don't believe he is in danger," Adams said, "but we do want to find him."
Justin had been seen at the apartment complex and it appeared he was helping a woman move out of her apartment, Wesley Mixon said.
The Mixons said they believe Justin is with the woman, who is not related to them.
Police have been unable to confirm if he's with the woman or that she's moved out, Adams said.
