A 3-year-old child has died after an apparent drowning at a swimming pool in Biloxi, authorities said.
The Biloxi Police Department responded to home in Biloxi after a call shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival at the home, personnel from the Biloxi Fire Department and American Medical Response tried to revive the child who police say was found unresponsive in a swimming pool, police said.
The child was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, and police said a preliminary investigation indicates the child died from an accidental drowning.
