St. Jude Dream Home winner announced

BILOXI -- Carolyn Brown of Gulfport won the St. Jude Dream Home in North Biloxi's Malpass West subdivision.

Built by award-winning Elliot Homes of Gulfport, the house features six bedrooms, three baths, an open floor plan and custom features throughout. The two-story house is valued at about $350,000.

The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, a fund-raiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., started in 1991 with a home giveaway in Shreveport, La. Today, the program has expanded to a total of more than 30 communities and raised more than $290 million.

Elliott Homes also built the St. Jude home on the Coast in 2012 and 2015.
