SUV crashes through front of Dollar Store in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY -- An SUV crashed through the front of a Dollar General store in Harrison County on Monday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m., a Mitsubishi SUV drove through the wall next to the entrance of the store on Mississippi 53 at Saucier Lizana Road, said Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan.

Two employees in the store escaped injury, he said, but the driver was taken to a hospital by ambulance to be checked for minor injuries.

The store will close while repairs are made, Sullivan said.
