Missing Gulfport man found safe and sound

A Gulfport man who had been missing since Friday made contact with his family Saturday afternoon, about 24 hours after his family filed a missing-person report.

Gulfport police Sgt. Damon McDaniel said the family of Oscar Ray Jenkins, 40, had made contact with officials.

"The family was happy and they said Mr. Jenkins was happy," McDaniel said.
