Kids get their own Mardi Gras fete at Gulfport's Lynn Meadows Discovery Center

Lynn Meadows Discovery Center's annual Children's Mardi Gras celebration Saturday in Gulfport featured a children's parade with bicycle floats and revelers along the museum's walking path.

"This is something for the kids to experience during Mardi Gras season while everything else is for adults," LMDC manager Penny Patterson said.

Special experiences such as the Imagination Station and the Giant Map of Asia from the Mississippi Geographic Alliance installations were temporarily displayed for the celebration.
