Harrison County supervisors will get raise in 2016
Members of the Harrison County Board of Supervisors are getting a raise.
Beginning Jan. 1, they will receive $46,700 each year, a $1,000 increase.
The Mississippi State Code sets the supervisor salary in any county with a valuation exceeding $2 billion at $46,700 and Harrison County's current valuation broke through that threshold, said Supervisor Joe Meadows, who proposed the increase but who will have vacated his seat by the time it takes effect.
