Update: Sheriff’s Office finds online threat against Coast school not credible
After investigation, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office has determined a threat on social media against Creekbend Elementary and Middle School is not credible.
The Sheriff’s Office posted Sunday on social media that it is “aware of the photograph ... in reference to Creekbend Elementary” and that it is “investigating the threats and will be treating them as credible until we can confidently prove otherwise.”
Later Sunday, authorities said they “deemed this threat to be non-credible and made from outside of our jurisdiction (possibly a different Creekbend area).”
The Sheriff’s Office said there will be additional deputies at the school on Monday.
