Coast man dies, passenger seriously injured in motorcycle crash, authorities say

A D’Iberville man died in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Saturday at the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 43 in Pearl River County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The crash happened after a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Timothy Campbell Jr., 36, of D’Iberville, struck a 2008 Dodge Ram truck driven by Michael Crawford, 28, of Franklinton, Louisiana, that was headed north at the intersection of Highway 43.

Campbell was headed east on Highway 26 at the time of the crash and died of his injuries. His passenger, Karyn Dufrene, suffered serious injuries.

Authorities reported no injuries to the driver and two passengers in the Dodge Ram.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
