Firefighter injured, arson suspected in South Mississippi Memorial Day fire
A Harrison County firefighter was injured early Monday morning when the roof collapsed at a home on Daugherty Road.
The blaze, which officials are calling suspicious in nature and investigating as an arson, left the firefighter with minor injuries.
Harrison County Fire Rescue, the Long Beach Fire Department and the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center all reported to the blaze, which was discovered around 1 a.m. The house was vacant and fully involved when firefighters arrived.
