South MS authorities are investigating after body is discovered in bayou in Gulfport
Authorities are investigating after a body was found in Gulfport on Friday.
Someone was fishing in Brickyard Bayou near Washington Avenue and Canal Street when they reported finding the person in the water around noon, Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said.
The man has not been identified. Switzer said an autopsy is scheduled Monday but the person had no obvious traumatic injuries or signs of foul play.
Gulfport Police Lt. Jason DuCre said police are waiting on the autopsy results.
