Mississippi man dies in fatal car crash in Saucier, coroner says
A Mississippi man died Thursday morning in a fatal car crash in Saucier, Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said.
Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash at 3:10 a.m. on U.S. 49 south of Pinetree Road in Saucier.
Troopers found a car that had been traveling northbound on U.S. 49 had gone off the road before hitting a concrete barrier and overturning, Switzer said.
The driver was identified as John Himes, 72, of Saucier and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Switzer said.
Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
