A pedestrian died in Biloxi Friday night after being struck by a car on U.S. 90.

The accident happened about 10:20 p.m. at the road’s intersection with Bellman Street.

That’s just east of the Hard Rock Casino and the nearby Hilton Garden Inn.

Upon arrival, police said they found the man lying unresponsive in the eastbound lanes.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The driver who struck the man remained on scene and cooperated with police, who do not think criminal activity is involved.

Police did not release the man’s identity, pending notification of his family.

If you have any information about the case, please call the Biloxi police department at (228) 435-6112.
