One person injured in Harrison County kitchen fire, chief says
Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said in a news release that one person was injured after a kitchen fire Wednesday evening.
Sullivan said the fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the 18000 block of 28th Street near Long Beach. First responders from Harrison County and Long Beach assisted with the fire.
He said one person was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
The fire, Sullivan said, started from grease on the stove.
