A Gulfport man missing for six weeks has been found safe in Perry County, about 65 miles from home.
Howard Flateland, 62, who is homeless, was found Wednesday night, Gulfport Police Sgt. Joshua Bromen said.
He had last been seen leaving the VA Medical Center in Biloxi on June 6.
