Family smells smoke, avoids injury in fire
A couple and their three children escaped a fire in a Shadow Creek subdivision home Tuesday afternoon.
The Harrison County Fire Service responded after the family reported the smell of something burning in the house. Firefighters found fire in the bathroom, where a candle had fallen over. The fire was confined to the bathroom, Chief Pat Sullivan said.
