Update: Hancock County deputy injured in crash

A Hancock County deputy was sent to the hospital after a one-car accident Friday night.

Chief Deputy Don Bass said the deputy's car went into a ditch off Kiln-Cutoff Road.  The Jaws of Life had to be used to free the deputy from his vehicle.

The deputy was taken to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. He was listed as stable and is expected to make a complete recovery.
