Who makes the best king cake on the Mississippi Coast? Tell us your favorites.

Carnival season is here!

And on the Mississippi Coast, much like Louisiana, we sometimes have to delay our New Year’s resolutions to cut back on the carbs or sweets, because king cake only comes around once a year.

We know there are regional favorites, like Dong Phuong from New Orleans, but bakeries and businesses across the Coast offer their take on the Mardi Gras dessert. There’s sweet, salty, crunchy, savory and classic.

You can also get king cakes from local restaurants and grocery stores like Winn-Dixie or Rouses.

We’re on the hunt to find the best king cakes in South Mississippi. And we need your help.

You can vote now for your favorite 2023 king cake in South Mississippi. Fill out the survey below, and make sure you include the name of the business, the city it’s in and your favorite flavor or filling.

This is not a scientific poll, so you can enter as many different king cakes and bakeries as you’d like.

The Sun Herald will release a top king cake list next week based on results of the survey.

If you can’t see the survey below, click here, or consider turning off your ad blocker.
