Clydesdales on this Coast this week to parade through downtowns

The Budweiser Clydesdales had such a good time parading in Mississippi Coast cities in 2019 that they’re coming back in 2020.

The large draft horses with their signature white markings and feathered legs are coming during Mardi Gras season, but scheduled parades are solely for the crowds to enjoy the 300-year-old breed that originated in Scotland.

The sturdy horses have been brand ambassador’s for Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser since 1933, according to its website, and have had their own Dalmatian mascot since 1950.

The parades will start at around 6 p.m., except in Ocean Springs, where it begins at about 3 p.m. Here’s the schedule:

Biloxi: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. The parade begins near MGM Park and comes down Howard Avenue to Main Street and Lameuse Street.
