More drive-up testing is coming to Biloxi, Gulfport as COVID-19 surges. Here’s where.
Update: Testing has been postponed at the Biloxi Civic Center on Thursday because bad weather is expected. Memorial Hospital will make decisions Friday on whether to hold testing the following week at the Lyman and Woolmarket locations.
Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is expanding drive-up screening and testing for the next three weeks through its Memorial Physician Clinics mobile unit because of a significant increase in COVID-19 cases, particularly in Harrison and Jackson counties.
The hospital also offers testing daily at five clinics.
Only those experiencing symptoms, as determined through the screening, will be tested. Symptoms include flu-like symptoms, body aches, fever, coughing, sneezing, chills, or shortness of breath, a Memorial news release says. Those who are sick should stay in their vehicles and wait for assistance. Social distancing will be observed.
No money or co-pay is due at the time of testing. Memorial will seek reimbursement from insurance companies for those who have insurance. Testing is free for those that do not have insurance but meet medical criteria.
For inquiries or other clinic locations, contact the COVID-19 Hotline, 228-867-5000.
