Mississippi reports 868 new coronavirus cases. Coast seven-day average is highest yet.
The Mississippi State Department of Health reports 868 new coronavirus cases and 19 new deaths, 8 of which were added after reviewing death certificates between June 12 and July 6.
The seven-day average is 770, the highest since June 27.
In the lower six counties of South Mississippi, there are 93 new cases and no new deaths.
The Coast’s seven day average of new cases is 80, the highest yet.
In the past seven days, Harrison County added the most cases with 265 positive COVID-19 tests. Biloxi and Gulfport’s county has added 25 or more cases daily for the past two weeks.
Jackson County added 176 cases in the past week, followed by Pearl River with 49, George with 35, Hancock with 20 and Stone with 12.
As of July 10, there have been 347,152 tests performed in Mississippi, and 3.8% or 13,123 of them were antibody tests. There are 22,167 presumed recoveries as of June 5.

Harrison — 1,177 (41 new)
Jackson — 798 (23 new)
Pearl River —303 (15 new)
