These Coast organizations asking for help amid coronavirus outbreak. Here’s what they need.

Mississippi Blood Services, the Salvation Army and other groups, including Coast law enforcement agencies, are accepting donations amid the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, outbreak. Here’s a look of some of the donations that are needed:

The Salvation Army of the Gulf Coast is accepting boxed and canned foods, personal hygiene items, such a toothpaste and deodorant, and other items, such as disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. Drop off items at 2019 22nd Street in Gulfport.

South Mississippi law enforcement agencies are in need of hand sanitizer. The following departments are requesting the donations:

  • Bay St. Louis Police Department, 698 U.S. 90, Bay St. Louis
  • Biloxi Police Department, 170 Porter Ave., Biloxi
  • D’Iberville Police Department, 10274 3rd Ave., D’Iberville
  • Gautier Police Department, 3329 U.S. 90, Gautier
  • George County Sheriff’s Office, 355 Cox Street, Lucedale
  • Ocean Springs Police Department, 170 Porter Av, Ocean Springs
  • Mississippi Highway Patrol, 16741 Mississippi 67, Biloxi
  • Pass Christian Police Department, 525 Espy Ave.
  • Stone County Sheriff’s office, 1420 Industrial Park Road, Wiggins

Southeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross is asking for blood and cash donations. Blood donations can be scheduled by appointment by logging on to redcross.org and entering your zip code.

Here’s a look at where the blood drives are tentatively set:

  • Sunday - Saint Clare Parish, Waveland, 8.m. to 1 p.m.
  • March 23 - Edgewater Mall, 2600 U.S. 90, Biloxi, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m
  • March 26 - Walmart, 375 Sangani Boulevard, D’Iberville, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • March 26 - Merit Health Wesley Aerobics Room in Wellness Center, 5001 Hardy Street, Hattiesburg, 11:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • March 26-28 - Red Cross training room, 612 East Pass Road, Gulfport.

  • March 31 - Red Cross training room, 612 East Pass Road, Gulfport, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • April 1 - Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 19330 Mississippi 67, Biloxi, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • April 1 - Orange Grove Community Drive, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12290 DePew Road, Gulfport, noon to 5 p.m.
  • April 2 - United Way of Jackson and George County, 3510 Magnolia Street, Pascagoula, noon to 3 p.m.
  • April 2 - Walmart, 460 U.S.90, Waveland, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • April 6 - St. John’s Episcopal Church, 705 Rayburn Ave., Ocean Springs, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • April 6-7 - Red Cross, 612 East Pass Road, Gulfport, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • April 8 - Latimer Community Center, 10908 Daisy Vestry Road, Ocean Springs, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • April 9 - Red Cross, 612 East Pass Road, Gulfport, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • April 10 - Sparklight, 786 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Biloxi, noon to 5 p.m.
  • April10 - Walmart Supercenter, 4253 U.S. 90 (Denny Avenue), Pascagoula, noon to 6 p.m.
