Two more ‘amazing’ six-figure jackpots hit in 8 weeks at Biloxi casinos
Make that five jackpots won at Biloxi casinos since mid-November, the latest at IP Casino Biloxi and at Treasure Bay Casino.
The most recent was a $130,948.47 jackpot won at Treasure Bay Casino by a player who declined to be identified.
“The lucky guest hit the jackpot on Sunday, Jan. 15 while playing on one of our Dollar Storm games,” said Treasure Bay spokesman Ryan Meister.
“What a way to start the year!” the casino posted on Facebook.
Those who commented on the post said the machine shows the win came on a $2 bet.
“That’s amazing,” the comments said.
The Dollar Storm slot machine is manufactured by Aristocrat Gaming, which says players can battle with pirates, go to ancient Egypt and travel the Orient in these exciting Hold & Spin games.”
Local player wins at IP Casino
On Jan. 4, a player from Ocean Springs who wished to remain anonymous, bet $75 bet on a Light & Wonder Huff N’ Puff slot machine that has a fairy tale theme.
The game provided a happy ending as the machine paid out $125,177.50.
Other Biloxi jackpots
The winning streak in Biloxi began Nov. 16. The other jackpots over the last two months are:
▪ $1,179,313.22 jackpot was won Nov. 27 on a wide area $1 denomination Wheel of Fortune slot machine at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi. It was the first $1 million jackpot in South Mississippi in about four years.
▪ $842,622.75 progressive jackpot came Jan. 1 at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. The win came after a Mobile, Alabama woman bet just $5 on the Ultimate Texas Hold‘em table at the casino. It is the largest table game jackpot ever paid at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi.
▪ $207,875 table game jackpot was won Nov. 16 by a woman from New York on a blackjack progressive table game at the Beau Rivage. The game allows players to make a side bet in addition to their normal bet during each hand.
