$842,622 win at Harrah’s Gulf Coast is the third jackpot in 6 weeks in Biloxi

An Alabama woman started 2023 with a bang, winning the biggest table game jackpot ever paid at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi.

Keyla D. (no last name given) of Mobile, Alabama, won a $842,622.75 progressive jackpot. The win came after she bet just $5 on the Ultimate Texas Hold‘em table at the casino..

A regular at the Biloxi casino, she was playing on New Year’s Day.

The casino said in a press release the Mobile woman often is seen playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em and on Sunday night her persistence paid off.

She told staff members at Harrah’s she is excited to help people with her windfall and take a much-needed vacation.

This makes three jackpots in just over six weeks at Biloxi casinos, with one of those for more than $1 million.

On Nov. 27, a player hit for $1,179,313.22 on a wide area $1 denomination Wheel of Fortune slot machine at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi.

On Nov. 16, a woman from New York won $207,875 on a blackjack progressive table game at the Beau Rivage. The game allows players to make a side bet in addition to their normal bet during each hand.

These wins came after Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale seemingly spread his luck around Biloxi. The Texas furniture tycoon arrived at the Beau Rivage Nov. 15, fresh off his record $75 million payout on the Houston Astros to win the World Series in the largest known win on a sports bet.
