Coast casinos have fifth $100 million month
July was the fifth out of seven months this year that gross casino revenue in South Mississippi topped $100 million.
The $105 million in revenue at the 12 casinos is $942,000 more than in July 2015, when there were 11 casinos on the Coast. Scarlet Pearl Casino opened in December.
Mississippi Department of Revenue reports the river casinos were down $1.2 million in July, putting total gross casino revenue in the state down by two-tenths of a percent.
Year to date, the Coast casinos have reported $712 million in gross casino revenue and now are $28 million ahead of the same period last year.
