Winn-Dixie raises $2 million for veterans
Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie grocery stores, will donate $2,022,843.45 in support of veterans and service members.
This is the second consecutive year for a donation from the grocer.
Funds were collected through customer and vendor donations and all profits earned at 750 Winn-Dixie, BI-LO and Harveys grocery stores on July 4.
This year Southeastern Grocers partnered with Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit celebrating 10 years of service. This is the single largest donation the organization has received since it was founded in 2006 and will help serve more than 2,000 service members and their families.
