NASA Shared Services Center employees at Stennis Space Center were awarded for their exceptional performance during the 2016 NASA Honor Awards: Jim Caldwell of Bay St. Louis, service delivery manager at CSRA, received the Outstanding Public Leadership Medal; Troy Taylor of Mandeville, counsel for NSSC, received the Exceptional Service Medal; Tony Lisotta of Slidell, program manager at CSRA, received the Exceptional Public Service Medal; Mark Chadwick of Diamondhead, procurement services chief at NASA, and Robert Wilson of Slidell, management and program analyst at NASA, received the Exceptional Achievement Medal; Lisa Monus of Slidell, finance specialist at CSRA, received the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal; Jessica Nirschel of Gulfport, senior human resources specialist at NASA, received the Early Career Achievement Medal; Kellie Noel of Bay St. Louis, assistant human resources service officer manager at CSRA, and Gavin Ladner Jr. of Gulfport, IT support specialist at Geocent, received the Early Career Public Achievement Medal; and Bill Graham, Marsha Vargas, Rachel Lizana, Tammy McIver and Terri Ratcliff received NSSC Certificates of Appreciation.

Scott Burge of A. Garner Russell and Associates in Gulfport was named president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Mississippi for 2016-17. Burge earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Mississippi State University.

Brian Murphy joined Saint Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis as its director of advancement, succeeding Chris Mensi. Murphy earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications from St. Mary’s College of California.

Bill Cork, Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission chief executive officer, and Paula Jordan, HCPHC commissioner, were appointed to the Mississippi Coast Foreign Trade Zone, one of four Mississippi trade zones made up of secured sites at airports, ports and industrial parks in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties that are supervised by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Hollywood Casino recognized its employees of the quarter in July 2016: Lisa Jones, Bogart’s server, and Bob Ledet, golf and grounds, were named Cast Members of the Quarter, and Hai Doan, buffet sous chef, was named Supervisor of the Quarter. Honorees received prizes.
