Walter Moore, chief human resources officer with Navigator Credit Union, received the Jane Philo Award of Excellence from the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence, the organization’s highest award, for his volunteered dedication, service and contributions to the Women’s Center. Moore has served in multiple leadership roles on the board of directors since he began volunteering in 2010.

Patty Oates, senior academic advisor and school certifying officer for the Tulane School of Continuing Studies in Mississippi, was elected president of the Veterans Affairs Administrators of Mississippi for the 2016-17 term. Oates is a U.S. Air Force veteran and has worked for Tulane’s School of Continuing Studies since 2007.

Andrew Guymon of Diamondhead, mechanical test operations engineer with NASA’s Engineering and Test Directorate, received the Space Flight Awareness Program’s Honoree Award for his test operations support of NASA’s spaceflight mission. Guymon was recognized as an instrumental team member and leader during rocket engine test projects and facility management projects.

William Lee Guice III, Maria Martinez and R. Scott Wells, attorneys with Rushing & Guice in Ocean Springs, were admitted to practice before the United States Court of International Trade, which has nationwide jurisdiction over civil actions resulting from customs and international trade laws of the United States.

Kimberly Nastasi, chief executive officer of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Inc., earned the Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives, a program designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and designate those who demonstrate essential knowledge to the industry.

Jenny Levens, director of the Long Beach and Pass Christian Chamber of Commerce, graduated from the Institute of Organizational Management, a professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Levens’ graduation signifies her completion of 96 of course instruction in nonprofit management.

Kelly Nation joined the medical staff of Merit Health Biloxi and will be practicing at the Gulf Coast Children’s Clinic. Nation earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.
