Andy Swoger was named the president and CEO of Keesler Federal Credit Union. He will succeed John R. Goff, the current president and CEO, after he retires in June. Swoger earned his degree in finance from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
Danny Bass, vice president and trust officer of the Asset Management and Trust Department of The Peoples Bank in Biloxi, earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association. Bass earned his degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and has been with The Peoples Bank since 1995.
Justin Struble, founder and owner of Wealth CAPS Financial Planning in Ocean Springs, earned the Certified Financial Planner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Struble founded Wealth CAPS Financial Planning in 2012.
Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi announced new executives: John Guy, the former vice president and chief financial officer, was promoted to assistant general manager; Scott King, the former director of revenue management, was promoted to vice president of resort operations; and Stephanie Williams was named the director of human resources.
Patrick Leckrone, the former hotel director, was promoted to vice president of hotel, food and beverage operations at the Scarlet Pearl Casino. Leckrone has been with the Scarlet Pearl Casino since July 2015 and brings 35 years of experience to his new position.
Tammy Moore joined the Hilton Garden Inn in Pascagoula as its director of sales and marketing. Moore brings 29 years of experience to her new position.
Karen Johnson was named Beta Sigma Phi’s 2016 Woman of the Year for the Laureate Epsilon Chapter. Johnson is vice president of her chapter.
The Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center recognized its civilian employees: Rohn Edwards, computer scientist in the engineering department, and Ashton Casey, information technology specialist for the Information Technology Program Management Office, were named Civilians of the Quarter.
IP Casino Resort recognized its outstanding employees for April 2016: Helen Baird, slot department team member, and Leo Murrary, High Tide team member, were named Team Members of the Month. Both honorees received gifts and prizes.
