June 1 is the deadline to nominate outstanding citizens and businesses to be honored during the Aug. 25 Hancock Chamber Awards Program at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast.

Known as the local version of the Academy Awards, the annual production includes a reception, banquet and video presentations featuring the award winners.

The Hancock Chamber membership will vote to select the winners for Business of the Year for Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Diamondhead, Kiln and Hancock County, and Citizen of the Year. Each nominee recognized during the gala will receive two tickets to the gala and will be featured in promotional videos and publicity.
