Coast transplants Steve and Jennifer DeDual could order food delivered from their favorite restaurants any time, anywhere when they lived in Seattle. So when they moved to Ocean Springs and found that isn't the case, they opened their own restaurant delivery service.

On March 17, We Dash You Dine began bringing lunch or dinner to homes and businesses within 15 miles of a restaurant.

"Everybody gets pizza delivered from time to time," said Steve DeDual. Now Coastians can get Mexican, Italian, barbecue or whatever they crave delivered.

"We have 28 restaurants available online," he said, including Ocean Springs restaurants and those at The Promenade and Sangani Boulevard in D'Iberville.

Customers go to the We Dash website, peruse the menus from a number of area restaurants, place an order and pay online.

Delivery arrives in about an hour, according to the website, but DeDual said it generally runs 35-40 minutes.

The graduated delivery fee is $6 for up to three miles from the restaurant to $12 for 15 miles away.

An additional $2 is charged for phone orders placed at 334-5901, but he said most people prefer to order online.

DeDual said his company gets restaurants' menus and posts them on its website. Among the Ocean Springs restaurants customers can order from are Woody's Roadside, Stonewalls, La Fiesta Brava, Lenny's Subs, China Bistro, Applebee's, McAlister's Deli, Quakes, The Shed, VK Noodle House, Mellow Mushroom, El Saltillo, Mikey's on the Bayou, Aunt Jenny's Catfish Restaurant, Anthony's Steak and Seafood, Government Street Grocery, Murky Waters BBQ, Saki Japanese Restaurant and The Froghead Grill.

In D'Iberville, meals can be ordered from Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Olive Garden, Aristo's, Red Lobster, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Chili's and Ruby Tuesday.

The company has three drivers now, and DeDual said they want to offer delivery service from Biloxi restaurants next.

"The plan is to get state line to state line," he said. About 80 percent of their business is repeat customers, who he said love the service. "We currently have 14 or 15 reviews on Facebook -- all 5 stars."
