Cheeky Monkey another step closer to Biloxi storefront
The exterior architectural designs for the proposed La Quinta Hotel at the corner of Beach Boulevard and Hopkins were approved last week by Biloxi's Architectural and Historical Review Commission, Jerry Creel, community development director, said in his weekly report.
The design is for a 4-story, 76-room hotel and Creel said, "The new design incorporated projecting features, a metal roof, old Chicago brick and historic colors to compliment the surrounding neighborhood."
Also last week, the Development Review Committee approved the site plan for the Cheeky Monkey Cake Company at 266 DeBuys Road and recommended site revisions for the proposed Fritz Construction Office at 130 Croesus
St. and the Southport Line Restaurant at 647 Howard Ave.
The site plan for the Blind Tiger Restaurant in East Biloxi has been revised and resubmitted, and will be reviewed again Wednesday at DRC.
Creel said the city is reviewing building plans for the new athletic field facility building for Biloxi High School, Sunbelt Lighting retail store on Cedar Lake Road and four new single family houses.
