The gavel was passed from 2015 Coast Centurion Association Chairwoman Becky Montgomery Jenner to 2016 Chairman Butch Simpson during the group's annual meeting March 15 at the Knight Nonprofit Center in Gulfport.
The 2016 board of directors are Simpson from Negrotto's Gallery; Kimberly Rasmussen, chairwoman-elect, Bacot McCarty Foundation; Jenner, who is retired from Mississippi Power; Frank Genzer, Architect; Lorraine Santo, retired; Bonnie Sine, Nextaff Gulf Coast; John Prentiss, Biloxi Military Affairs, Piltz, Williams & LaRosa & Co.; Jonathan Woodward, Gulfport Military Affairs, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; Julie Gresham, Huntington Ingalls Industries and Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce President; ex-officio Kimberly Nastasi, CEO of the chamber.
Dhiana Skrmetti, programing and military liaison for the chamber, serves as Coast Centurion Association Liaison.
Coast Centurions was founded by a group of military supporters in 1995 to serve as a core group of Coast citizen leaders and military personnel dedicated to the retention of the local military installations and presence.
