Women who have made an impact in the local casino industry will speak at this year's Global Gaming Women lunch meeting May 3 at Island View Casino Resort.
Virginia McDowell, who will retire in April from her position as president and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, will moderate each panel discussion during the event. She also serves as president and chairwoman of the Global Gaming Women Board.
"Building a Career: A Candid Conversation About The Valuable Lessons Learned From First Jobs, Memorable Mentors and Taking Chances" is the topic of the luncheon.
Panelists will be Cathy Beeding, general counsel for Island View and Windance Country Club; Luann Pappas, CEO of Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D'Iberville; Ashley Wade, regional vice president of human resources for Caesars Corporation's Horseshoe Bossier and Harrahs Louisiana Downs, and Kim Ginn, vice president of marketing at L'Auberge Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel.
