The American Red Cross, in partnership with the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Jackson County and Hancock County chambers of commerce, will offer Small Business Continuity and Resilience Workshop on March 30.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knight Nonprofit Center on Seaway Road in Gulfport and includes lunch.
The free, 3 1/2-hour training is designed for small businesses and organizations to learn about tools that will allow them to stay open or reopen after any emergency. Participants will complete key components of their organization's "all-hazards" continuity plan and prioritize plans for emergencies most likely to impact their business and community.
"This workshop is a powerful way to celebrate Red Cross Month," said John McFarland, executive director of the Southeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross. "We're excited to facilitate this training to help our local small businesses and organizations ensure they will be able to open their doors after any emergency."
