A building permit was issued last week for a new sanctuary at Saint Mary's Catholic Church at 8343 Old Woolmarket Road in Biloxi, Community Development Director Jerry Creel said in his weekly report.
The sanctuary will increase the square footage of the building from 10,000 to 17,000 square feet, Creel said.
A building permit also was issued for the "Dawg House" pet care facility at 181 Hopkins Blvd. Creel said construction is scheduled to begin immediately on both projects.
The site plan for a proposed 51-lot RV park on Beach Boulevard, south of Beach View Avenue in West Biloxi, was reviewed last week by the Development Review Committee. The site plan will be resubmitted after recommended revisions are complete, Creel said.
