Grants available to Gulfport businesses

Gulfport Main Street Association has up to $15,000 in small-business grants to help small businesses grow and thrive in this challenging economy.

The deadline is May 31 at noon to apply for a grant, and priority will be on project proposals that will result in the grown of a business and those in which local vendors are used.

The maximum individual grant is $2,500. Businesses must be locally owned; not part of a chain or franchise; have fewer than 25 employees; and be within the boundaries of Gulfport Main Street.
