Brittany Ridgway, Biloxi resident and regional advertising supervisor at the Sun Herald in Gulfport, received the McClatchy Company's third annual Chairman's Club Award for her advertising excellence in 2015. Ridgway earned her bachelor of arts in communication in 2006 from Mississippi State University, and was named 2015's Salesperson of the Year at the Sun Herald and Velocity, a full-service digital advertising team.
Allison Buchanan of Biloxi was named the chief executive officer of New Media Lab, a marketing and communications company in Oxford. She earned her bachelor of arts in journalism and minors in art and university scholars from the University of Mississippi.
Kathy Stafford was named program director of Disability Connection in Gulfport and Ocean Springs, a service for people with disabilities, seniors, veterans and children. Stafford has been with Disability Connection for two years, and she brings 22 years of experience as an employment specialist for people with disabilities to her new position.
Jeffrey Mortenson, information technology manager at Piltz, Williams, LaRosa & Co. in Biloxi, was selected as a member of the CompTIA Subject Matter Expert Technical Advisory Committee, a select group of information technology professionals with expertise and leadership in specialized areas. Mortenson brings his A+ certification expertise to the committee.
Terry Arseneault, event rental expert at ABC Rental in Gulfport, earned her Certified Event Rental Professional Certification from the American Rental Association, a rental-specific certification program for the party and event rental industry.
Dr. James Randolph, veterinarian, attended the Louisiana Academy of Veterinary Practice's Emergency Medicine seminar. Randolph is a member of the academy's board of directors and practices small-animal medicine, surgery and dentistry at the Animal General Hospital in Long Beach.
