Applications due soon for Gulf Coast Business Council's Masters Program

Gulf Coast Business Council Research Foundation is accepting applications through March 25 for its 2016 Masters Program.

The program was developed in 2007 to identify and develop emerging leaders of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Typically the class size is limited to 25, and this group becomes an effective regional "think tank" for one year. This year's theme is "Elevating the Film Industry on the Gulf Coast." The class will explore the best practices of other communities, recommended infrastructure and recommendations on how to create a tangible asset for the film industry.

The Master's Program consists of eight sessions from May through November and will end with a paper recommending solutions and courses of action.

The class also will visit a city in the United States that is a model for success in this area and learn how they have drawn upon their own regional assets to effect change in their communities.
