Raising Cane's raises money for Jackson County animal shelter
Raising Cane's restaurants raised $1,498 with its annual Plush Puppy program to benefit the Friends of the Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets.
The Louisiana-based chicken finger restaurant is named after its founder's yellow Labrador, Raising Cane, and during the holidays customers are invited to purchase the collectible mascots.
This year, Cane's partnered with the popular holiday classic "Elf" to offer "Buddy the Elf" pups, with 100 percent of net proceeds donated to pet welfare organizations in each of Raising Cane's local communities.
The check was presented this month to the animal shelter.
