South Mississippi's first indoor trampoline park will open in early summer in D'Iberville and with its indoor connection to Cypress Lanes Bowling Alley will become a multi-venue family entertainment center.
Trampoline parks are opening across the country and the Mullet Hop will be the second in the state when it debuts at 3200 Mallett Road in the Lakeview Shopping Plaza.
It will be in the middle of all the action, close to the Grand Theater and the shops at Sangani Boulevard and The Promenade.
Within its 18,000 square feet will be wall-to-wall trampoline activities -- a large open trampoline court, trampoline dodgeball arena, slam-dunk basketball and two foam pits filled with 10,000 foam cubes to soften the landing for those trying new trampoline stunts. The activities are geared for kids, teens and adults. Participants get a great workout, because a 20-minute session of jumping on a trampoline burns 100 calories.

An indoor connection to Cypress Lanes will provide 50,000 square feet of entertainment as families wander among the trampolines and the 24 bowling lanes, arcade and bar and grill.
Nicky Cvitanovich, who owns both Cypress Lanes and Mullet Hop, is adding to the party atmosphere. In addition to the Party Center at Cypress Lanes, he is building party rooms that will look down over the trampolines.
