GULFPORT -- Several events are planned Thursday to commemorate the 35th anniversary of RPM Pizza, including a company celebration, Fastest Pizza Maker contest and a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the company's newly remodeled office at 15384 5th St.
Headquartered in Gulfport, RPM Pizza is the largest Domino's Pizza franchise in the U.S., with 191 restaurants in seven states, more than 4,000 employees and an annual payroll exceeding $50 million.
Last year the company gave more than $1 million in donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Crime Prevention & Education, Habitat for Humanity and Partner's Foundation, which helps employees who need assistance.
Ninety percent of all store managers began their Domino's career as a driver or customer service representative and over 150 have become franchisees of their own Domino's restaurant.

RPM Pizza is owned and operated by CEO Glenn Mueller and President Glenn Mueller Jr. and founded by his brother Richard Mueller Jr. of Long Beach.
Richard Mueller was one of the first franchisees in the Domino's system in the 1960s and '70s. In 1981, Glenn and Val Mueller joined Richard and Linda Mueller to start RPM Pizza and open three Domino's stores. The company then opened stores all over the world, including Germany, Canada, New York, Chicago and Detroit while still owning the stores in Mississippi and Louisiana.
