Billy Driebergen of Biloxi, senior realty specialist with NASA's Center Operations Directorate at Stennis Space Center, received the NASA Space Flight Awareness Honoree Award for his exceptional project leadership while implementing Stennis Space Center's Facility Infrastructure Real Estate System, a system that offers superior facilities support capabilities for rocket propulsion and stage testing.

Lynn Tincher-Ladner, a native of Long Beach, was named the president and chief executive officer of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for community colleges headquartered in Jackson. Tincher-Ladner earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi, and she earned her doctorate in education leadership from Mississippi State University.

Silver Slipper Casino announced its employee and manager of the year for 2015: Sam Sheppard, lead steward at the buffet, was named Employee of the Year; Mary Menasco, controller, was named the Manager of the Year.

South Mississippi Regional Center honored its employees of the winter quarter: Jan Gadow, supervisor of Chesire Community Homes, was named the Direct Support Services honoree; Becky Johnson, administrative assistant for the Long Beach maintenance department, was named the Support Services honoree.

Janie O'Keefe, executive director of Disability Connection, completed her third ADA certification through the Accessibility Professionals Association's APA-ADA Specialist Track in Austin, Texas.
