The rate of foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans in South Mississippi declined in November.
CoreLogic reports the rate was 1.13 percent, a decrease of 0.15 percentage points compared with November 2014, when the rate was 1.28 percent.
Foreclosure activity in Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.17 percent for November 2015.
The mortgage delinquency rate also decreased in November. CoreLogic said 4.71 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared with 5.69 percent for the same period last year, a decrease of 0.98 percent.
