The Singing River Health System Neuroscience Center has a variety of free support groups.
The Parkinson's Disease Support Group meets the second Tuesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. This group is led by health-care professionals for people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and their families.
Aphasia and Communication Support Group meets each third Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. for people diagnosed with aphasia, dysfluency (stuttering) or exhibit difficulties with processing skills required for communication.
Movement Disorder Exercise Group meets every fourth Tuesday from 4 to 5 p.m., and is designed to provide a full-body workout for people of all levels and physical ability.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction meets each second Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m., offering techniques aimed at solving the mind's most basic problem: the stress and suffering it brings on itself through its own thoughts and actions.
