New edition of Yellow Pages being delivered locally
The new Yellow Pages books are arriving on doorsteps and in driveways throughout South Mississippi.
The redesigned telephone directories have a new look and a more consumer-friendly layout for easier navigation. The new version incorporated user feedback and is more colorful, and has more coupons and useful information.
Yellow Pages publisher Print Media teamed with ratings service Nielsen to analyze customer preferences in order to anticipate households that want to receive the Yellow Pages. With this "smart distribution," the books are more likely to go into the hands of people who use them.
The company said even with the surge in online searches and online consumer reviews, many still rely on print directories when seeking local products and services. The Yellow Pages are accessed more than 4,000 times per minute, according to a 2014 study by the Local Search Association.
