Gulfport gets another two eateries on U.S. 49
A Mexican restaurant and a wing takeout are approved to open by the Mississippi Department of Health, bringing the total to five new restaurants in the city this month.
Another location of El Saltillo Mexican Restaurant at 12013 U.S. 49 will feature burritos, chalupa, chile relleno, tamales, quesadilla, enchiladas rancheras, steak, flautas Mexicana, vegetarian dishes (vegetarian plate, bean burrito, chalupas, chiles rellenos) and deep-fried ice cream. The owner is Jorge Martin Flores.
Henry Park is opening Wings-2-Go at 12100 U.S. 49 in Gulfport. The variety of wings includes extra hot, hot, mild, lemon pepper, honey barbecue, honey mustard, Cajun, garlic pepper, honey garlic, Cajun garlic pepper, teriyaki, powder ranch and garlic Parmesan, served with celery and carrots and ranch blue cheese sauce for dipping. Also on the menu are Philly steaks, gyros, burgers, shrimp, fish and salads.
Earlier this month the Health Department licensed three other Gulfport restaurants: J & B Coffee, doing business as Southern Grounds Coffee Shop at 9138 Carl Legett Road, Papa John's at 12186 U.S. 49 and China One at 353 Courthouse Road.
