Coast casino general managers raise $10,000 playing slots

Susan Varnes, general manager at Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi, won the second annual Mississippi Casino Operators Association Charity Slot Tournament on Thursday.

The tourney was at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and many of the general managers at Coast casinos participated.

It raised $10,000 for The Salvation Army and helped kick off the agency's Angel Tree Campaign that last year helped bring Christmas to 3,000 children in the six counties The Salvation Army serves.

Treasure Bay Casino will host next year's tournament and designate the charity that will benefit from the money raised.
